The Challenge
Fan Pivot is a Minnesota-based hardware startup built around a patented magnetic technology called polymagnets, neodymium magnets engineered for exact control and 3-10x stronger hold than standard alternatives. The team used this technology to create a first-of-its-kind airless spraying accessory that lets professional painters instantly rotate their fan spray direction with a flick of their finger. The product was real. The market need was real. What didn't exist yet was everything else: brand identity, ecommerce infrastructure, marketing channels, sales strategy, packaging, and distribution.
Our Strategy
Before touching a single deliverable, we spent four weeks in deep discovery, studying the professional painting industry, mapping the competitive landscape, identifying exactly who would buy this product and why, and figuring out what it would take to get them to try something new. Once we had that clarity, we built the full infrastructure: ecommerce store, branding and packaging, reporting systems, internal tech stack, and all the marketing and sales assets needed to operate. Then we opened every relevant channel at once.
